Why we believe in messaging…

March 29, 2016bowerbirdblog

We made a conscious decision when redesigning the BowerBird app. We knew that communication between architects and journalists was the most important part. We didn’t want emails and clunky systems to get in the way of that communication – the app had to serve conversations. So we developed BowerBird Messages.

Why not email?

While we have an obvious interest in our users communicating through the app itself – keeping you all engaged and using the tool – we have moved away from emailing as the form of contact in order to minimise the formalities and get straight to what’s important: is your project of interest to the journalist.

To do that we’ve built quick, intuitive messaging right into the app; saving everyone time, helping to keep all your media contacts in one place, and providing new opportunities to connect quickly with journalists.

Project-centred

We also saw an opportunity for journalists and architects to connect specifically around content – in this case, projects. We want conversations to be centred upon these projects (in the form of BowerKits). So, when contacting journalists through BowerBird, you will now select a BowerKit and start talking instantly about getting that project featured. Of course, you can always contact journalists about any one of your projects, and jump outside the app if needed.

BowerBird Messages is the fastest way to connect with editors and journalists, whether they’re in your own city or town, or anywhere in the world.
